Concord, OH - Better Billy Bunker licensed installer TDI Golf is wrapping up a bunker renovation project at Tartan Fields Golf Club in Concord, OH. This Arnold Palmer signature design features impressive, flashed bunkers which will benefit greatly from the BBB method of bunker construction. A 2″ layer of local pea gravel covering the entire floor of the bunker is treated with a specialized polymer which binds the layer together. This drainage layer works as a conduit to get water out of the bunker sand and to the drainline very quickly during rain events and prevents virtually all washouts. During a very wet spring, the new bunkers are performing as advertised.
Along with Tartan Fields, TDI Golf is the general contractor for the major renovation at the University of Lousiville Golf Club. Under the direction of architect Spencer Holt, the former Cardinal Club will see all new bunkering (constructed using BBB), new tees, and an expansive new short game facility. Work is scheduled to be completed by this summer.
